For y'all's entertainment, my crazy brother's commencement speech:

Congratulations to the Class of 2009.

I am very proud to be here before you today. We have had so many experiences together over the last few years that it took me a while to decide what to say, but I finally realized: our high school experiences are in many ways similar to those of someone with whom I am sure you are all familiar: Harry Potter.

[Pause for laughter from audience.]

Couple weeks ago I got a Breaking News Alert email from the New York Times about the winner of a horse race. Couple days before that I got a Breaking News Alert email from the Washington Post about a team getting eliminated from the NHL playoffs. (Haven't figured out how to stop the sports-related alerts without stopping the alerts altogether.)

I have not gotten, and since the article was linked in today's Today's Headlines emails from both newspapers I will not get, a Breaking News Alert email from either the New York Times or the Washington Post about the murder of Dr. Tiller.

In what world is this a sensible ordering of priorities?
