So I bought me a shiny new portable external hard drive so I could move my copies of Leverage and Technicolor Dreamcoat and so forth onto it so my Linux box would have more room for music and also so I could watch my stuff on the computer with Internet and with speakers that don't go snap-crackle-pop all the damn time. I plugged that drive into this computer, which runs Windows, and copied stuff over and renamed the drive to suit my computer naming scheme. Then I plugged it into my Linux box and copied stuff over and it worked just fine there too. And now it no longer works on this computer at ALL. *argh*

My water cup has apparently been sweating hard enough that the coaster it was on had a layer of water between it and the desk, for long enough that wiping up the water took some of the finish with it. Craaap.

My mother owns a Carmen Sandiego coat. This revelation brought to you by needing to run out to put something in the mailbox and not wanting to go outside in my underwear. (I can tell the AC not to kick in till the indoor temp's at 85 if I'm in my underwear. With shirt and shorts, the warmest I'm comfortable is 82.

Oh, and apparently some federal judge ruled on something in California... \o/
