Happy Thanksgiving

I'm thankful I have a job. I'm not thankful so many others don't.

I'm thankful for everything I've learned this year about social justice and everyone I've learned from. I'm not thankful for what and who make social justice necessary.

I'm thankful for charities that improve the lives of the First Nations. I'm not thankful that we (because my ancestors, some of whom were at the Salem Witch Trials, are surely guilty) drove them off their lands and killed them.

This Thanksgiving I'm donating money to the Native American Heritage Association, because too many First Nations families need food, clothing, heat, and such, and 94% of NAHA donations go to food, clothing, heat, and such for First Nations families.

The Silver Peace Bracelet is made from nickel silver and is inscribed with the word Peace in many languages: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Hebrew, Hindi, Spanish and Russian.

Surely there are more than four non-European languages that can be used on this bracelet, and surely there was no need for five European languages. They're trying, I know they're trying, this is Northern Sun after all, but...

Boooored. Want to watch my shows or write my fic or make my jewelry or, hell, vacuum the basement, but there are siblings and cousins being noisy.

I have written porn in class. Why is it so difficult for me to focus now?

On to more serious matters. According to an Etsy tweetchat the other day, the formula for pricing success is "materials+labor+expenses+profit=wholesale x2=retail". So I'm pricing at wholesale, not retail. Is doubling my prices likely to hurt me? Not now, I think, but after New Year's.
