Opinion!

I get the impression that this doesn't mandate marriage equality in states that don't yet have it, but it does require the feds to recognize same-sex marriages in states that do have marriage equality. ETA: reading the opinion confirms this impression.

Per SCOTUSblog, Prop 8 case is being dismissed for lack of standing. That opinion has not been released, but they're saying the DOMA case suggests it. ETA: Opinion's out. Lack of standing. Lower court decision stands: Prop 8 is down!

pod_together party favors!

Somehow it completely slipped my attention that transformative work of public domain material is fair game for a fannish challenge such as pod_together, so I didn't sign up. However, I have 872 words of Snow White in iambic hexameter, and I'm guessing I'll have three to five thousand words by the time I'm done. And pod_together is doing a thing called 'party favors', which is like Yuletide treats I guess, in that they're not part of the challenge but they're for the challenge. Anyone wanna do the podfic part of my Snow White poem? :-D
