(no subject)
oooof. epic tired.
which made no sense when I first noticed it, because I danced one tip today, one, and dusted some furniture, and spent the whole rest of the day sitting either in the car or at the square dance or at dinner. but I actually did epic socializing at the dance. (read: I updated family friends on my work situation—to the tune of yay promotion, boo paint fumes, no I can't work from home because assigning me a laptop that can access our systems is a potentially sensible move and therefore it hasn't happened and isn't likely to—and complained some about not having written much lately.) also at dinner, though I barely talked at dinner. and I did this on zero caffeine like seriously I had a cup of tea just now and that was my first caffeine since yesterday afternoon.
so epic tired is not actually surprising! I may go crash now, even though it is only eleven and I just had tea.
I did make progress on my-sister-and-her-fiancé's wedding present, though. one granny square, for a running total of not quite nine (because I started a ball of purple instead of a ball of white when I ran out of white midway through the last round on white square #7). I need at least a hundred, and that only if 40"x40" is a reasonable size for the damn afghan. spoiler alert: not really! it's an okay size for a lapghan, but not for something that's meant to go on a queen-sized bed! for a queen-sized bed I need more like 100"x100"... the wedding is in August and I am doomed. (they do not have a wedding registry, and as far as I can tell have no plans to make one. which means I have no idea what they need or want. so a plan-B wedding present is basically gonna be darts in the dark. I suppose I could buy queen-sized bedding...)
