Royal blue lace crochet hoop earrings. Aren't they pretty?

Pattern, which I modified by doing double crochets for round two because I tried the single crochets as instructed and they just weren't tall enough. I might be crocheting too tightly, though.

I did not forethought-and-planning this very well. Evidence: I have neither notebook nor pen with me. Kindle Fire doesn't count, the keyboard is too much of a pain and editing text far more so. Another thing to do at home tonight or tomorrow, I suppose.
