"Father's been telling me for years he didn't think I was responsible enough for a pet." Adrien's scratching behind the ear of a slender gray cat, his back to the camera. "Last week he told me he thought I was ready to take an active role in the family business. Spot the contradiction."

Marinette says, "That sounds like code for he doesn't like cats."

"That is definitely code for he hates cats." Adrien turns his attention to a plump orange-and-white cat curled up on top of a cat tree. "I told him if I'm responsible enough for that, I'm responsible enough for this."
