I made a pair of earrings
to wear a year and day
to remind and symbolize
the promise I have made.

Today I do not wear them.
One gemstone has come loose.
I fear to lose it.

I've been slacking my devotions:
this I know.

This is fixable.
I have epoxy,
I have candles,
I have prayer.
