Failure of memory that a prior set existed/failure of memory that you had two separate sets for separate purposes but that you might want to keep which is which straight by dint of labeling each/"oh look! its ADHD complete with memory problems that accompany the executive dysfunction"?
...I mean. The main reason I'm not failing school since starting meds is that my memory retention stopped being Utterly Fucking Shittacular once I started applying meds. The executive function boost certainly helped to be sure, but seriously the memory shit is the biggest thing. I'd found at least mostly sufficient coping mechanisms for the executive function problems, even if they were moderately shitty and only barely sufficient. Memory, though... yeah. I started meds and SUDDENLY! I could retain shit for organic chemistry! Where literally the week before I could retain shit-fucking-all.
