Is it still fridging a character if she dies to create emotional impact on another female character? (Is it still fridging a character if it's a he who dies? See also, Salvation, Pastor Jim and Caleb. They got name-checked a couple times each in season one and that's all we have to explain why their deaths have such impact on John.) Also, note to self, go back and give this character some actual fleshing-out so we can see why her death has emotional impact. Also, figure out what Mary is doing in between hearing what the boys are up to.
