My assignment! This is not what we matched on, and it is not as impressive an art as I envisioned when I started, and it isn't even as impressive an art as I thought it was when I finished drawing because it is a 9"x12" drawing. The scanner at home only takes 8.5"x11", and apparently the scanner at Dad's work fucks with the colors—and only scans to PDF, which was amusing as all hell to pull an image file out of; thank you to the #yuletide chatter who helped me screencap the damn thing at full resolution and apologies for having forgotten which chatter you are.

But, like, there's the edge of the labyrinth, she just has to take a few more steps and she'll be out and on the beach and free, and she's looking longingly that way. But her body's turned more in the direction she's actually going to go: back into the labyrinth, because that way is the person singing "My Medea", the person who has built this girl's prison with words and gestures of (abusive) love.

Awwww fuck. It's supposed to get up to 100F tomorrow, or at least feel like it.

Tomorrow the AC at our end of work will probably not be fixed (I am currently on lunch break, thus hiding in the comfortably-temperatured library) until after we leave for the employee recognition. Which is outdoors. For four hours.

This on top of expecting the 4-12 section to work day shift hours tomorrow after a shifted schedule today. How would you like to work 8-4 Mon-Wed, 6-2 Thu, and midnight-8 Fri? Because shift that over eight hours and that's what is expected of night shift this week. Argh.
