I hate summer
Jun. 12th, 2015 09:12 pmI am le tired and wish to sleep but apparently I am not allowed because it is too hot and I must be constantly pouring water down my throat in order to keep dehydration / heat-overdose symptoms at bay.
I've been in the AC most of the day, mind. Including all of the past four hours. (Also the whole time I was supposed to be either at the employee-recognition picnic or working. At the last minute I chose working, because the picnic was outdoors in 100F weather and being in theoretically-but-not-actually AC all morning was messing with me.) And I have in fact been drinking water like it's going out of style. But I said I would be at work again in under eleven hours from now (and it won't be any cooler tomorrow, it'll just fake it better because the AC in our section is fixed now) and I hardly slept last night and aaargh I want to sleep.
Also it's only quarter past nine. That's probably a factor too, given that it's Friday and on a typical Friday I'm not home from work for another hour and a half.
