where the firelight fades is now on AO3 in draft form, with all the wrap-text-pretty-around-images CSS and linked-footnote HTML neatly coded
draft AO3 works evaporate after thirty days
there is no way this can possibly go wrong
(what is actually likely to happen is I'll hit post on that first chapter before the thirty days are up—since draft chapters on existing works stick around forever—and go back to kicking at the scene placeholders I'm having trouble with)
