I don't know if the links are still live, but synecdochic has a tradition, in which I am happily participating, of listening to two songs on New Year's Eve and deciding which one better fits the past year. Amusingly, my copy of "A Long December" thinks the cover art is that from Celtic Thunder's Heritage.
