I'm just running with what Dean said about the angels and demons finding their own planet, really--if the price of keeping the war off Earth is the boys have to outlive everyone but each other and never get a chance to rest, well, they've never had a chance to rest, this won't be any different, and they both know by now they can survive anything as long as they're together.
