December daily meme: flowers
Flowers. Do you have a favourite? Do you prefer houseplants or cut flowers or wild flowers or what? Do you have a garden? If so, what's in it?
The thing about flowers is I have the proverbial black thumb. They're very pretty, as long as they're not orange and sometimes even if they are, but they die on me. Cut flowers die even faster than ones in pots or the ground.
I have two small lucky bamboo plants that are supposed to be on my desk at work (but actually are floating around the kitchen at home while work is done on the ceiling at work, so nobody knocks over or otherwise damages my plants), and they're the only things I've successfully kept alive for any significant length of time. But they're not flowers. Mom's got a rosemary bush out front that I'm quite fond of, but it's not mine and it's not supposed to be flowers.
