So. Seanan McGuire's The Best Thing. (She calls it Sailor Moon meets Carrie.) It is certainly, based on first chapter, a very good thing. But subsequent chapters are subscription-only, at $3.99/mo. And I am trying not to spend my money unwisely, esp since I have no idea how long a thing this is. But that subscription gets me access to everything subscription-only at Thrillbent. But I don't think I'm interested in anything else at Thrillbent (I haven't really had time/brain to check out much else of what's there). But and but and but gah.
