So I read through the comments on Scalzi's post, and one of the things mentioned therein is some legal stuff is free to employees of employers with an EAP. (Employee Assistance Program.)

Oh hey that's a familiar-sounding acronym...oh hey look my bookmark stash contains a business card for the company that handles EAP stuff for my employer!

So I will get this shit all legaled up pretty soon now.
