See, I somehow managed not to actually start reading aldersprig's Edally Academy stories until tonight—but the opening of this chapter (which is chapter 5 of book 2) caught my eye so I started at the beginning, and guess what I now want to nominate for Yuletide. The problem is, that requires taking out one of my existing noms...

Hm. What is this Edally Academy? Does it have queer content? I would like new stuff to show to Kate.

Steampunk created-world boarding school. Doesn't have queer content that I noticed.

That's primarily because it has almost no content related to sexual interest at all yet. Tairiekie hasn't even noticed that having a sexual/romantic interest in someone could be a thing. :-)

Yeah, I'd noticed that basically the only het content is Tairiekie having parents.

There was a part later where I struggled between: having an adult queer marriage in which the rather silly Textiles (fashion) House professor was gay or not having the fashionable man be gay AND having a woman engineer, and I honestly don't remember which way I went.

Yuletide is an annual fanfiction exchange for fandoms that, for whatever reason, have almost no fanfic. The way it works is, in order for someone to receive a story in X fandom, they have to request a story in X fandom (and of course someone has to be willing to write a story in that fandom), and in order for someone to request or offer a story in X fandom, someone has to nominate the fandom. We are in that phase of the exchange now. yuletide_admin probably has a better explanation somewhere--yep, here's the FAQ.

And I saw the bit that got my attention on Dreamwidth. :)
