Heh. I'm having enough trouble figuring out how to answer one of your prompts, I don't need two. It doesn't help that icarus_chained keeps updating the 'verse where Gabriel's vessel is Loki, because if you wanted what icarus_chained is doing you'd be reading icarus_chained. (If you're not, you should be.)

I am reading icarus-chained *and* I'm writing my own take on the matter as well (it's going slow). But I want someone to write me the story where Gabriel's Vessel is some poor entirely human schmuck he convinced to say 'yes'.

At least I'm not asking for a Band of Brothers xover. ;)

Yeah, I'd have to pass on that one. I have vague ideas that Band of Brothers is about US soldiers in Afghanistan and that's all I know about it. Also I may be confusing it with Generation Kill, or both of them with something else entirely.

I'll figure something out.

I'm pretty sure that Generation Kill is the one about soldiers in Afghanistan (or maybe Iraq).

Band of Brothers is about the WW2 paratrooper company. Richard Speight played one of supporting characters, which has led to some random plot bunnies about that character being Gabriel's Vessel, but to do it right would require *massive* amounts of research, considering every character in Band of Brothers was a real historical person.

I feel I should apologize for sticking you with something you're not happy with.

No, it's all right, really. I like playing with the characters nobody really does anything with. (Which may possibly be why the Epic Bechdel project is stalled at Route 666. Lots of people write Cassie.)
