Even acrylic can be blocked. Try wetting it and blocking it to dry.

if it's too small blocking out is simpler than if it's greater than a half circle (done that plenty of times!) the way to POSSIBLY fix that is to "kill" the acrylic. Look it up online. It means washing and drying it until the acrylic gives up ALL memory-- while it's hot you've got some minutes to block out.

Polycotton blend will need killing, because polyester is not a flexible fiber.
