It is 9:15. I got out of oral surgery I'm not quite sure when but it was definitely before 11. That makes it more than ten hours since I came out of the anesthesia.
My lower jaw is STILL NUMB. I mean, it has advanced to tinglyness, and it moves properly, but I am not getting tactile sensation with the same intensity as from, say, my cheek.
And okay, probably not a bad thing, because pain? But it's irritating.
(I very badly want to not go to work tomorrow. If I have to take an oxycodone after 10:30 tomorrow morning, I am definitely not going, because narcotic.)

In any case, I hope you heal quickly (but not until after it's too late to go to work)!

I have absolutely no clue.
Thanks!

*sends good thoughts*
I think I remember from my wisdom teeth that I had to take narcotics for two days and after that moved on to extra strength tylenol. still looked like a chipmunk and was on soft foods and the stitches were *really annoying*, but it suddenly got waaaay better. YMMV of course, but hoping it is a similarly short timeline of narco-brain.
(I had them out in two batches too, as one was impacted so emergency surgery squeezed into oral surgeon's schedule, and then a couple month's later I had the other three out. was roughly the same recovery time for me both times.)

(I think this is why I'm partly like "why is the laproscopy taking so looooong!" because most of my adult pain-med post-surgery experience is not "you have stitches in your abdomen and someone scraped biopsies off your insides," so I keep feeling like this is taking too long)

Thanks. The numb finally started wearing off at nearly eleven, so twelve hours later.
Mom has already told me I'm not allowed to go to work today, because narcotics. I am okay with this.
