(no subject)

So apparently I just watched the most recent Once Upon a Time? (My middle sister's idea.) Clearly (1) they're more messing with Disney movies than with fairy tales (which I'm sure all y'all figured out long since) (2) I need to watch from the beginning (I left off a few episodes in to season one and forget why).

I also just watched a Doctor Who and if all the episodes are that horror-riffic, no. Not happening. Not watching another one ever.

And I'm tearing up enough to interfere with TYPING that.

The Doctor reminds me, time and again, that TRYING to do the right thing, trying to make the world better, safer, more welcoming... it MATTERS.

When the Doctor drifts away from that, good writers SHOW him struggling with the consequences, and the emotional fallout.
