Wow. If you want to be traumatized today, Google News "Orlando shooting". Worst terror attack since 9/11, apparently (and they're only using the word 'terror' because the shooter has an Arabic name, I'm sure), at nearly double the body count of Sandy Hook (not counting the injured, who outnumber the dead). But these were adults in a gay club, on a night celebrating Latina and black queer people especially trans women, so you watch, next week nobody's gonna give a shit anymore. Latest edition of the Onion article with the headline "'No Way To Prevent This,' Says Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens" expected any moment now.

But hey. At least some of the blood donation sites local to the shooting have lifted the sexuality ban on blood donations. Like I told someone on Facebook, idk how long this will last, but dammit I am going to look at the silver lining because the cloud is too saddening and enraging to contemplate. False positive. :(
