Fucking Tracfone declines to admit any record of SIM card numbers when I bought the fucking SIM cards FROM TRACFONE. (Via Amazon, yes, but that shouldn't matter.) New phone, therefore, still ain't WORK. D:

Today I have frustrated the Tracfone automated phone system into giving me a live person to talk to. By which I mean they'll call back in "more than thirty minutes" as of fifteen minutes ago.

the activation kit had two packs of SIM cards

found the AT&T-compatible one, encountered a new and different problem with the web interface, found the livechat gizmo, and now thanks to helpful chatty person the transfer should be in progress PRAISE BE TO HERMES AND HEPHAISTOS

story time! when i was having new phone issues i offered some praise to Anoia and offered to rattle drawers for her if she would help get my tech issue unstuck AND IT WORKED so um gonna go rattle some more drawers because honestly a lot of my pantheon/theology is very discworld-related and Anoia jives with me. and honestly why would she not move on from stuck drawers to stuck hard drives? so um. yes.

I have not read nearly enough Discworld. I'm not sure why. I mean, there's rather a lot of Discworld, but that isn't to do with why I haven't been reading the ones I bought and haven't opened or haven't got very far in.

Anoia makes a big appearance in Going Postal which I have reread a lot because it gives me feelz.

from the Discworld wiki, for reference:

Goddess of Things That Get Stuck in Drawers, a minor goddess on the Discworld. When someone rattles a drawer and cries "How can it close on the damned thing but not open with it? Who bought this? Do we ever use it?", even though the person might be genuinely irritated or even exasperated, it is as praise unto Anoia. Faithful Anoians (worshippers of Anoia) purposefully rattle their drawers and complain every day. Anoia also finds objects that roll under other objects and things stuck in sofa cushions, and is considering handling stuck zippers. She eats corkscrews.
