I won't be getting a personal blog on Imzy for a few reasons.
-- DW at least gives you the option of attempting to block search engines from indexing your blog.
-- When Imzy goes public, it will only allow you to browse for a while before it prompts you to create an account. This is annoying for people who want to read your blog without becoming a member.
-- Imzy's stance on "adult" content is going to be... interesting for them to enforce. Regardless, if I want to post dick pics in my blog, I want to be able to do so without someone calling the content cops.
-- Personally, I think Imzy has taken a step backward by going forward (heh) with personal blogs. The point of Imzy was supposed to be communities. I don't believe they have the resources to be everything to everybody. Something has to give. Right now, they are (thankfully) wavering on the launch date of the non-beta site, pushing it to late Sept/early Oct instead of mid-Sept. Search capabilities are still practically non-existent. There's a lot of controversy about the site layout. There's a lot of stuff that they've said about the appearance of the site that they claim they aren't going to budge on. Yadda yadda.
Having said all that, I have 2 communities on Imzy and plan on making one more. So YMMV.
