so guess who just discovered that Windows 10 doesn't have Windows Movie Maker or any other such thing built in?

anyone got Win10-compatible suggestions for video editing programs? ideally free or very cheap, and, you know, functional?

You can still get Windows Movie Maker with their essentials package! Here. You can choose what bits you want and just get the movie maker.
