Maybe because you were tired? That makes it hard to think.
I use chamomile-valerian when I really need to knock myself out, and chamomile-mint when I just want to relax. It only works if I lie down in the dark and let it work, though, so it has limited applicability if I'm really hyper and miserable.
Problem past few days has been waking up middle of sleep cycle, perishing of thirst. Hoping the problem is dry air, because that can be cured by application of humidifier.

It sucks because this winter air is making it miserable for even my cats to touch me-their noses touch my fingers and static sparks.
