Oh, OK, they reduced the minority leads by 50%. Girl's still not-white, but in the UK version the Vampire isn't white either. (Not quite sure what he IS, mind, but still...)

I'm against US remakes of UK shows in principle, so I'm ignoring it and hoping it goes away unless someone gives me a good reason not to.

Dark Irish, I'm reliably informed, which is still true in the US version but Irish doesn't really count as a minority in the US.

Still not entirely sure why they're remaking this show. The first one, what I saw of it, was both pretty awesome and, you know, recent.
