This looks like the instructions for backing up a Wordpress-powered site such as sunbowpublications.com.

...that makes no sense to me whatsoever and I need to back up this site TODAY before my hosting renews (costing money I can't afford to spend) TOMORROW.

I think this should work.

Go to Tools > Export on your Wordpress-powered site.
"Choose what to export" -- all content.
Go to the Wordpress hosted version and go to Tools > Import. Scroll down to "Wordpress", go into the importer, and select the file you generated by exporting from the Wordpress-powered site.

It might be slow, but that should do it.
