*eyes [personal profile] seekingferret's spoilertastic review of Wonder Woman*

I was looking forward to this movie quite a bit until I found out the antagonist is one of my Gods.

Thanks for the heads-up, I guess? :(

[personal profile] seekingferret is an asshole who never cut-tags spoilers, as a rule.

I mean, Ares has always been a major antagonist of Wonder Woman, so...

Just be thankful it's not Gods of Egypt. -_- *sighs*

is it one of the hideously whitewashed ones

*laughs bitterly* Yes, it bastardised the Osiris mythos to the point of ridiculousness, and So Many White People. D:

At least it looked like trash from the trailers, so I never wasted any money on it, but still. Decent movies about the Egyptian gods and myths are rare, if not impossible to find. Which may be why I write so many of my own. :/

Yeah, exactly. There are no fiction books about Egyptian gods on my shelves, because they are all crap. :/

The only thing we found problematic about the movies are the inconsistencies. Posiden (Yeah, I speled his name wrong; it's been a long day, so sue me) talked in the first one, but not in the second, and that bothered us. A lot.

If lyou're gunna write something, at least keep it bloody consistent. *siths*

The rest of it we can pass off as just 'for entertainment, not accuracy' but that? Come on now.

OK, I'll have to check this out (I know whom you mean) since I just saw it last night.

[Returns 5 minutes later.] Yup, spoileriffic. He at least remembered to state the themes; I forgot.
