My LibraryThing says I have six books that weigh in excess of six pounds. Clearly one of those books is Books Georg, at ten thousand nine hundred pounds. But I detect no way to not count Books Georg here, or even to discern which record in my catalog is Books Georg—and there might be five more statistical outliers here!

I have a Books Georg too! Although mine only weight 9000 pounds. I'm off to see if I can work out how to identify it.

So, to go looking for Books Georg (of which there may be up to 7) I have
> gone to the 'Your Books' screen

Then I've selected the 'weight' to sort by, and found my 9000 pound book. I've also 3 * 20 pound books, and some other middling ones at 6-10 pounds. One of these could well be accurate, because it is possibly the largest book that I own. Next up, I'm going to see what happens if I take the weight measurement off Books Georg (Which is "Emerald Green", which is a large format paperback, and probably weighs about 200g. I'm going to copy the weight from one of the other books in the same series, because they are almost exactly the same size).

It is so weird to have had such numbers in there at all, but very satisfying to have dealt with them. I've identified rather a lot where the measurements are in the wrong order (basically, I have ~125 books with a thickness greater than some value, which might be 3cm, might be 5cm - not going back to it now, because I should have gone to bed and hour ago, and I'm having too much fun with this) so I've turbo tagged them with 'fix dimensions' and I'll come back to them later.

Makes sense. I was looking at the 'measurement in UHaul boxes' and wondering if that was what you were looking to measure.

Yes. I went for just zeroing out the most egregious errors, and went from 2 elephants to about 1/3 of an elephant -- I figured that level of correction was sufficient, given that LibraryThing imputes 'average' values when they are missing

Looking at those weird big numbers and the exactly two zeroes on the ends, I wonder if LibraryThing has misparsed a European's "10,9 pounds"--which would be American "10.9"--as "10,900 pounds." And the same with the rest.

For my 9,000 pound book, I'm guessing not, because it was a paperback (and one that I know isn't particularly large - I don't remember now what it was, but I remember thinking how funny it was)

Another one to look for is books that are 20*20*20 inches in height/weight/length and weight 20 pounds. Apparently this is a weird 'from Amazon' glitch.

Having now seen your screen cap, I can see that you don't have any of those at present! I had three, as might have been guessed from the above (plus at least one that had <4 of the dimensions set to 20 and the others set to 0)
