I need to check something visually for a thing I'm writing.

—Think Dreamwidth folks would be cool with my writing a story intended for pro publication (Disabled Destroy Sci-fi, specifically) where a lot of the action is on Dreamwidth?

It's an open source space. Shouldn't be any copyright issues, as long as any images you take are from stock themes. But it's easy to ask.

There might be some trademark issues (especially if you're using the site logo or something) but I bet if you emailed denise she'd be happy to tell you what you can use.

I might be careful about how dependent I made the story on it, though, because Lightspeed itself might have some caveats about anything that reads too much like promotion for a specific website - if it's going to be extensive it would probably be safer to do a just-barely-deniable generic "blog network" or "small diversity-friendly social networking site" or sth.
