CN hospital, head injury, etc (ah, the glamorous life of a writer)

This fic would be progressing a lot fucking faster if I had any solid notion of:

* what the inside of a Paris ICU is like, the full sensory experience
* whether throwing money at the said hospital has any effect on anything
* whether a partial answer to either of those questions can plausibly be "the patient is alone in their room"
* what the diagnostic procedures, monitoring procedures, and appropriate treatments are for traumatic brain injury such as this, resulting in amnesia such as this
* what even got injured and how
* what other effects the injury can be expected to have
* how the doctors would even describe this amnesia, and what else they might think it was, and what would rule those out
* how much of an ICU patient's day is spent on medical stuff, how much with visitors (and how many at once) or alone as applicable, to what extent those overlap, and what relation all that has to what the clock and calendar say
* what is supposed to happen with the patient's personal items; in particular, given a patient admitted while unconscious, where would they find the jewelry and phone they had on them at the time of injury slash ICU admission?
* to what extent the medical staff typically keep a teenage patient informed, vs the patient's sole parent, and to what extent they typically listen to a teenage patient about what they need from their care, vs the patient's sole parent whose opinion differs
* to what extent Miraculous Cure's effects on an existing patient disrupt procedures around examination, diagnosis, treatment, observation, and check-out

...one of these things is not like the others

(I think my thought here is, since I know Miraculous Cure is currently functioning as the plot gizmo that makes the utterly implausible premise go, in order to sustain my readers' suspension of disbelief I must make everything else as realistic as possible?)

So, I'm French, and I have no idea what the answer to half your questions would be, which might lighten your verisimilitude requirement. ;-)

That said, the answer will depend whether we're talking public hospital or private clinique (which, if we're talking ER/ICU, is more likely public hospital).
Throwing money at the ER isn't going to do anything. Throwing money at the ICU... Well for one thing, I'm not sure we have ICU, as such, and for another, the main problem in French hospitals is lack of beds, so I'd say you can't have a room to yourself by paying more. Depending on how the hospital is set up, you might end up by yourself anyways. (Or, once the character is awake, the parent can have them moved to a private clinique).

For the rest, I actually have no idea.
You might find some answers by digging through https://www.aphp.fr/ in one of whose hospital your character would most likely end up.

I would be extremely surprised if there's any hospital anywhere where throwing lots of money at the place doesn't result in better treatment/more luxuries for the patient. It probably wouldn't do much in a large emergency/epidemic situation, but, in other cases, it would. Even in places with universal medical care, there are people and facilities which only treat people paying out of pocket (at rates that are vastly more than what standard coverage runs to).
