fandomgiftbox signups are open

...I might have yoinked a bunch of tags (some lightly altered) from the original_works_ex 2018 tagset because I could not come up with a third fandom I could think of more than three prompts for, excepting those of my Yuletide 2018 requests that are probably fandoms of me. I'm not sorry.

I am debating whether to sign up. My fandoms are tiny and I don't want to be a pain in the butt.

You can fill people's boxes without signing up, should you so choose.

And while I know fandom_stocking insists nobody goes away with too empty a stocking, fandomgiftbox seems to be of the opinion that if you sign up with three fandoms knowing the internet has only four other fans of each property, then you know you're likely not signing up to get a whole lot of gifts compared to people who sign up with anything big enough that Yuletide (at least) consistently produces fic for it. Consequently it doesn't seem you being a pain in the butt is, like, an option here.

Anyway if any of your fandoms are quickly consumable and you can link to the freely accessible canon (in some manner that at least looks legal), that improves your chances of getting gifts even if the whole internet has only ten people in each of your fandoms. And the fandomgiftbox mods are sure enough of this to knock the three-fandom requirement down to two at the mods' discretion provided one of the two is a five-minute fandom.

Sounds good. I usually do a lot of Fandom Stocking fills. I don't mind not getting fills, but I like to at least be able to roll the dice that I might.
