It's quite the idea. That little detail of Nathalie not giving up the quest makes it, I think, but the tension could build up quite nicely. Not sure I quite have the chutzpah to write it myself - it feels like it's a story that would work best with a lot of time skips involved.

Slightly tempted, but I think I'd be better off clearing off the rust with something a little more lighthearted. Like the Akuma battle I practically have soundtracked in my head.
