Because they are the silliest things short of clownfish (there is a reason they are called that, and it's not just the orange-and-white patches.)

Mine like to rest upside down and give me a good scare, nibble on my hands while I clean their tank, and dart around in ridiculous spirals every time the weather changes (seriously, they can detect changes in barometric pressure; they are more reliable than the local news.)

How cool is that!
