God's everything - he's male and female and agendered and bigendered and genderqueer, but she's also protandrous and protogynous and all the forms of heterogamous kind and also all 28,000 sexes of Schizophyllum commune, however basidiomycetes experience their gender. I mean, xie's God.

The first church I had prolonged contact with through a model parliament organization got me used to hearing God called, "He/she/it/they." Which struck me as particularily awesome.

I do quite like this.

Sometime I want to read a story where somebody asks God if they're male or female, and they say, "At the moment? I mostly feel like mating type PfAq. Ooh, and a protandric hermaphroditic semi-colonial organism - some of the bryozoans in the Mediterranean are releasing gametes right now, and the water currents are ni-ice. *wolf whistle* How 'bout you?"

I see God as manifesting in specifically gendered ways--and I think not enough attention is paid to the female nature of the Holy Spirit and the Sophia.

I believe that the Christian god, like the gods of other religions, is essentially a big ball of sentient thought which adopts a position on the gender spectrum as a means of connecting to its devotees.

I remember noticing a few years back that the wording in Genesis, taken literally, implies that God is either multigendered or agendered, because God created people in God's image, male and female -- so either God encompasses both (or all) genders or God has neither gender, but God can't be unilaterally one gender.
