Dear self: STOP SPENDING MONEY. Yes, even on charitable projects. It is only a couple months until you have the choice of spending hundreds of dollars a month that you do not and will not have on health insurance, spending hundreds of dollars a month that you do not and will not have on therapist and Abilify and hoping like hell you don't pass out again and need another emergency room visit, and going off therapist and Abilify and hoping like hell you don't pass out again and need another emergency room visit. No matter how selfish it feels to not spend money on other people, you need to not spend money—and that selfish is balanced out by the unselfish from not spending money on oneself, surely?

No, really, STOP SPENDING MONEY.

Argh.

It's completely valid to priortize your own self and health. Especially in this current political/economic climate.

I also tend to feel guilty because I don't have the money to donate, but keeping one's own self together, healthy, and safe, really should be a priority, even though as women we're often told by society at large that if we're not supporting other people, we're being 'selfish'.

Bollocks to that.

It's totally valid to help yourself.

And if yourself needs everything you have, that is valid too.
