You know that icon, the one that's got Sam Winchester shirtless from neck to juuuust above low-slung jeans, nothing to distract from the muscles and tattoo, and the caption is "Supernatural: I watch for the plot"?
If I were to make such an icon for Lost Girl (providing I can find a good cap; I think if there were a frontal-shirtless-female scene I'd remember it, and I don't know the show well enough to be sure of which scenes I do remember are in which ep), would that be good because gender equity, or bad because contributing to seeing women as solely sexual objects? If bad, would that be affected if I include Bo's face in the icon? Which I think I'd have to do anyway, I don't remember her having any distinguishing characteristics similar to Sam's tattoo, and I want anyone with at least a passing familiarity with the show to be able to identify the show without reading the caption, as can be done with the Sam icon.

And FWIW I think it would be basically neutral. If anybody should say that it's a bad thing to objectify women when fandom tends to be wall-to-wall objectification of men, I'd have a very hard time not laughing in their faces. 99% of our entertainment choices are all about looking at very attractive people, and that's just the way people are.
