I suppose the one good thing about the Connecticut shooting is that the
victims can't be blamed for not having guns to shoot back with, considering
they were all on school property and most of them were kids.
Has the shouting about how at least the teachers should be allowed guns on
school grounds started yet? And of course we can't possibly suggest that
the right to bear arms does not mean, was not ever intended to mean, the
right to bear all the arms one can afford or the right to bear arms without
anyone paying attention to what one means to do with them.

My eyes could not be rolling any harder. (I don't mean to be flippant; one of my brothers had a desk thrown at him and the teacher wasn't so much as reprimanded. So yeah, I have a beef to pick with anyone who yells that teachers should be armed.)

Right, because the violently abusive, screaming tool of a teacher, and the leering, sexist creep of a teacher who gave better grades to girls in tight shirts would TOTALLY be improved by the ability to carry a gun legally.
(I was in both their classes, fwiw. No hyperbole here.)

Stop. Don't you know that now is a time to grieve, not discuss gun control? Like they're two mutually exclusive things.
I don't understand why this has to keep happening and no one who can actually do anything about it seems willing to even discuss what needs to be done to prevent it

murder Trayvon Martindefend themselves. And it's not like the shootings are sufficiently frequent and sufficiently massive that it will ever be their kid in the crossfire.
