"What Is This Feeling?" from Wicked shuffled up on my MP3 player for the third time today. Usually I like the song, because lesbian subtext out the ears, but right now it's just grating. Because as I recall the musical, it goes out of its way to be heteronormative—even with the lyrics explicitly saying lesbian love story right up till the first instance of the word 'loathing'.
