Standard babble about what I like: Ladies being awesome. Bechdel passing. People of color being awesome. Femslash, het, slash, poly, gen. Porn, pornless shippy fic, gen. (Obviously I am not asking you to provide all my likes at once.)
Things I dislike: Underage. Non-con. Disrespectful treatment of women and/or queer folk and/or people of color and/or people of religious beliefs other than Christianity. (It's
purimgifts. I am not concerned that I will actually get disrespectful treatment of women or non-Christians. It's just easier to copy and comment on the list than to rewrite it every time.) Cross-generational sexual and/or romantic relationships, though if an involved character does not, in my head, have an age, then it won't bother me as long as all the involved characters are clearly adult. I can't really explain any better than that; this makes about as much sense to me as it does to you. Sorry about that. Anyway, in Supernatural, angels and demons are ageless (and if you're writing sexytimes with an angel or demon, step carefully around the non-con warning because there's a human in there, though also note that I believe Ruby when she says there's no one in her S4 body but Ruby), Lenore is the age she was when she became a vampire (the actress was born in 1977, Lenore first appeared on the show in 2006, so let's go with thirtyish), and I think that's all the important ones, or at least enough for you to get the idea. Fallen London, evidence from the Long-Lost Daughter storyline suggests the Player is thirty years old or so, perhaps older but certainly no younger; the Quiet Deviless is ageless. Avatar, nobody's ageless except the Avatar, but the Avatar isn't exactly a character—Vathara's Embers distinguishes 'the Avatar Spirit' and 'the person who is the Avatar Spirit's bearer', which distinction I'm stealing, and Korra and Aang and so forth are the latter, so the age that counts is the number of years the Avatar-spirit-bearer in question has lived since birth.
I am not caught up on Supernatural, though it is possible that by golive I will be. I have multiple characters going in Fallen London, and my most advanced is in process of becoming a Person of Some Importance. I may be confused by stories relying on things you have seen and I have not. I have no objection to being spoiled.
My fave Supernatural characters are, uh, if she's female and recurring, or female and played a significant role in her episode (hi Cassie! hi Madison! hi Oktoberfest Jamie and bar server Lindsey and UFO-chaser Sparrow!), I love her to bits. Also love, and conveniently Jewish: Rufus. And I am not convinced that angels know what gender is when they're not envesseled, so if Castiel is wearing Claire (and Claire is among my favoritest ever, fyi, along with Mary and Ellen and Anna and Ruby and Jess and Emma), then far's I'm concerned Castiel is female. Pick your favorite character(s), you are seriously spoiled for choice here. (If you want to and can find a way to get Hel Lokisdottir in, I will hearts you endlessly. And you know what would be really fun and highly intriguing, if you find yourself able and willing to take a crack at it? Writing Clairestiel, or Anna or Rachel and/or whoever, as angels springing explicitly from the Jewish tradition rather than from some vaguely-Jewishy, mostly-Christian concept of angels in which the angel Joshua might be Jesus and if so is the only indication that Supernaturalverse Christianity actually has a Christ.)
In Supernatural RPF (which, far's I'm concerned, contains everybody who's ever been on the show in a recurring role plus Danneel Harris Ackles), I prefer AU to anything pretending to be about the actual actors instead of certainly about characters with names, physical descriptions, public personalities, and occasionally biographical details in common with the actual actors. My faves are Danneel, Genevieve Cortese Padalecki, and Adrianne Palicki. Do me a favor? Don't mention any actual people who are actually under eighteen? I don't care how cute West is in the Cooking with West video Misha made or how cute his kid sister (forgot her name, half on purpose) might be, or how cute Thomas is in the pictures the Padaleckis have released, or how adorable the Ackleses are being over Acklesbaby. I don't want to see the actual kids being ficced or graphiced. Though if you want to invent kids for any of the characters, knock yourself out.
In Fallen London, my favorites are all the people the Player romances and/or sexes, I'm not even kidding. I'm particularly fond of the Artist's Model, the Jewel Thief (would the head Constable be sufficient of a persecuting vizier, I wonder?), the Sardonic Music-Hall Singer, the Barbed Wit, and the Quiet Deviless, though I also note that however fond and intrigued I may be of/by the Quiet Deviless, the Brass Embassy, and the soul trade, this may not be the exchange for that. (Also the Long-Lost Daughter, but step carefully, that's Fate-locked content and banned from the wikis, so if you spoil folks for that story the creators may have a fit and then none of us will be happy.) I prefer the Player female or unspecified.
In Avatar, KATARA. TOPH. AZULA. MAI. TY LEE. URSA. KORRA. ASAMI. Also Sokka, but he isn't female and I doubt he can be rendered Jewish without breaking the worldbuilding (and I do love the worldbuilding), but maybe if Azula counts as an evil vizier? Extra bonus points for any female Avatar preceding Aang.
Things that are not officially in my sign-up (so you can ignore this paragraph if you choose) because nothing by that author has been ficced on AO3 yet: The Chronicles of Glenscar (canon thisaway and thisaway), The Tales of Anosir (canon thisaway), "Glorious Song of Old", and "The Angel and the Rose" (both canons thisaway). They all get filed under 'WALSH Anne B. - Works', or they would if there were any fic yet. I'm working on it.
In the rest (including the whole ignorable paragraph), I have no specific commentary; assume any fic about any female character will delight me.
