Okay that PayDay candy bar commercial is seriously fucked up. You know, the one where it shows the candy bar sans wrapper and says something about "in all its naked glory", with a pixelation bar a bit below the candy bar's midsection, and concludes "Expose yourself to PayDay"? Fucked. Up.

Also, I have now eaten a proper meal and at least a meal's worth of sweets fruit and pretzels, plus drinking I joke not probably a gallon of water and another half gallon of blue Gatorade, since getting home from donating blood. I left the blood bank five hours ago. I still am shaky, upset-stomachy, and dizzy on standing. Now, some of that's dehydration that I don't think set in until after the blood bank (I was fine at the blood bank, and after the blood bank I had a third of a bottle of water to last me the hour it took to do my shopping and get home—why yes, it would have been sensible to grab lunch between blood bank and shopping), but I have been dealing with the dehydration just as much as with the low blood sugar. And I'm still feeling like shit.

I believe I recall why it has been about a year since I donated blood last.

When I lived in NYC and platelet donations were something they always wanted me to do, I discovered that they were a lot less exhausting than whole blood donations, even though they took way longer.

PayDay commercial is fucked up no matter what your biochemistry is doing. Good luck coming back to equilibrium!

I felt okay when I left the blood donation place, and then awful later on, too. Felt off-balance for days. Hope you feel better soon.
