in which Alex tries a positive thought exercise

Last post was twelve whines. Let's see if I can come up with twelve good things:

1) I think I know what to do with the video I need for the Translucent crowdfunding project. I just need to script that shit out, make sure my camera will record enough video (it is not really meant for recording video), and find somewhere to do the filming. And possibly con my sister into helping film, because the vision I've got is cutting back and forth between Alex head talking and Alex hands doing.

2) Irish Breakfast tea with a squirt of honey and a bit of milk.

3) Lots of MS-DOS games available via archive.org.

4) Recommended reading on transmisogyny. So much to add to my booklist!

5) My bookmark from [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith arrived. I like the bitty poem it's got on.

6) "Alex, Wow reading your post is like reading one the weekly readings. Nice job." —classmate in Sustainability for the Common Good

7) June Jordan's Poetry for the People has much of use for Translucent. Must reread those parts.

8) Marriage equality in Florida, and Tallahassee's mayor inviting couples denied courthouse marriages in those Florida counties not currently performing any to come marry in Tallahassee.

9) I think I know where anthology writing is going, now. I just need to make the time to fingers on keyboard until I have between five hundred and twenty-five hundred words.

10) I think I know what my contributions to Translucent (beyond of course assembling the thing) will be. Must research moar! By which I mean read the books I've already got.

11) Apple slices with dark chocolate peanut butter on.

12) I asked [personal profile] kaberett for a prompt for my free-verse poem assignment and it is a lovely prompt that is going to be a lovely poem.

Lucky 13) Blankets. :)
