#BlackLivesMatter TW: police brutality

White America's Silence on Police Brutality Is Consent

How many more must die, how close together, and under what circumstances before the most empowered Americans feel compelled to advance, legislate and execute police reform? Or is this the system they want?

It's not the system I want. But I get the impression I do not speak for white America.

ETA: on a related note, why does my state representative not seem to have an email address. My state senator does, so I can email him to the tune of "let's try to change the law so that this nonsense can't legally happen in this state", but not my state representative.

I mean, they're both white male Republicans. I do not expect writing them to work. But it would work better if I could write them both!
