Dare I machine-wash my doll body, given that the ceramic hands and feet are not removable? Because this page suggests hand washing if blotting with a washcloth and baby shampoo doesn't work. Well, it didn't work, and the cloth is a little dingy as well as the darker spots, so. But hand washing looks like too much work.

Could you handwash it with less effort

by putting it in a bucket with water + soap

and then squashing it with clean feet

while sitting down on a chair?

*looks at doll* maybe doll would fit in the bigger roasting pan? Which of course I used last night to roast food in, and it's not clean yet, but that's a fixable. Still have to unstuff doll, though.

I wouldn't, yeah. Even on a hand wash cycle, the ceramic feet and hands are not something you want hitting the sides of the machine, as they will.
