Okay. Sammy's four. Maybe five. So '87 or '88. What music would Mary know and like, other than the Beatles?

I think she'd have liked Rick Astleys Never Gonna Gve You up. It was very popular in 88 and it has a similiar sound and theme as Hey Jude. Kokomo by the Beach Boys, and Need you tonight by INXS also get my vote.
later_tuesday: LOL in the end you all die (lg ora lol)

:P No. The link really goes to INXS, I happened to be listening to it on youtube when I commented so I threw in a link. But now I wish I had rick rolled you....damn.

Well, The Rolling Stones were still performing all through that period...

The thing is, people's musical tastes generally ossify in their teens/early twenties, so Mary probably wouldn't be listening to the current music except because it was on the radio. She'd have her records for what she liked when she was younger, and she probably would only like a few peices of the bubblegum pop/80's punk/whatever was popular at the time.
