This is often my method of writing. Write until something happens! Then go back and add the proper foreshadowing, so that it doesn't look like I didn't know what was going to happen. >.>
Hee hee. I think a lot of people do that. I'm not honestly sure how I could foreshadow the plot ninjas, though, because my only viewpoint characters are Emma and Claire, and Emma had no idea the plot ninjas were coming and I don't think there's a plausible reason for Claire to have known it either.
Have you got those stubborn girls moving any faster toward relationship-type discussions? Are there any ways to trick them into it? (I'm so not above tricking characters, it's awesome.)
I think--I'm not sure it'll work, but I think--Claire's going to be freaking out after Next Plot Event and desperate for something to prove she's alive and real, and sex will fit the bill at least in her mind, and Emma is just going to go with it.
