Watching Sailormoon. So pleased that—at least in the first two episodes—the Suck Fairy hasn't paid the show a visit. Unlike, as Silver Adept is exploring at the Slacktiverse, Anne McCaffrey's Pern. Which I think I initially consumed at about the same time.

Also really pleased that Hulu doesn't do the thing where the Print Screen button isn't allowed to take a screenshot that includes the currently displayed frame of Hulu video.

Are you watching the reboot episodes or the subbed ones airing on hulu?

Hulu subs. Reboot ain't aired yet.

I wasn't sure, because I think I saw a post on tumblr about the reboot coming out in June or is it July? I am completely depending on tumblr or some other entertainment site to let me know when it airs. I know the charge is like $5 a month.

Have you seen the dub? I've seen the dub up to a point and the Sailor S movie.

I think I've seen all the dub and all three movies but it was years ago so I'm not sure. I own all the rereleased manga but haven't got around to reading them. Maybe now I will, now I'm all excited over the series again.

Were/are you involved in the fandom? I did read a ton of SM fic when the dub was airing but then fell off as I discovered other shows.

Oh, long time ago. My fics died with Geocities. Wayback Machine has 'em but I ain't saying where.

The Suck Fairy has not even begun to show their influence, truly. Glad that at least one thing from the past hasn't gone to the domain of Suck.

Yeah. I've been afraid to reopen McCaffrey for a while, but...oy.

When I read the reprinted manga as it came out in the states I actually fell in love with the story even more, so yes to Sailor Moon aging well.

I genuinely enjoyed the first three eps. Ep 4 is one that hasn't aged well, IMO.

(Jadeite is such a terrible villain omg. xD)

Yeah, judging by the preview I expect to be cringing at the fat-shaming.
